Ten New Series
That I Want To Start

This is SO HARD because I love a great series and I am currently in the middle of so many! I chose to pick series that 1) I haven't begun yet at all and 2) are completed!

Which of these have you read?
What are your favorites?

The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan

Mara Dyer Series by Michelle Hodkin

Fire and Thorns Series by Rae Carson

The Hourglass Trilogy by Myra McEntire

Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr

The Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins

Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta

The Wicked Years Series by Gregory Maguire

  1. I have only read the Mara Dyer series which I've enjoyed so far. It does mess with your head a little bit though! I want to start quite a few series on your list!

    1. I'm really excited to read Mara Dyer! I've purposely waited until the final book is released because I've heard it has cliffhangers and I have the WORST time with those. I can't wait to breeze through. SOON!

  2. I count The Lumatere Chronicles among my favorite series and thus highly recommend them. I need to finish up Something Strange and Deadly and Fire and Thorn myself, and I've been meaning to get to Lynburn Legacy and Guards of the Shadowlands. So many series! But I think you've given yourself some great options here. Hope you can get to some of them soon!

    1. People speak SO HIGHLY of Lumatere and I want to read them so much. I want to read all of these so much and since there are all completed series, I barely even know where to begin.

  4. I've seen The Lumatere Chronicles from various TT posts today; and I'll say the same thing that I've said to them: you need to start that series asap!

    1. I'm seeing so much about Lumatere that I'm thinking I may just make this series a priority. I feel like I will like it - I tend to like stories like them!

  5. I've read the first book in the Something Strange and Deadly series and it was soooo good! I've also read the entire Girl of Fire and Thorns series and was blown away. You can't go wrong with either one! ;-)

    1. I've heard really great things about the Fire and Thorns series! I've been meaning to get to it FOREVER but somehow I've been putting it off. Need to resolve that. Both of these series, actually. No better time than now to get started (:

  6. Great picks! You've chosen so many series that I am really excited to read myself - Something Strange and Deadly, Girl of Fire and Thorns, and the Sweet trilogy. I hope you can get to some of these soon :) Here's my TTT.

    1. Oh yes, the Sweet Trilogy - those covers are so pretty and I feel like I would devour that series!

  7. Fire and Thorns!!!!! You will not be disappointed whenever you get around to that series, Asheley! I've also read the first 2 books in the Something Strange & Deadly series and The Lumatere Chronicles. I really, really like SS&D and LOVE Melina Marchetta's YA fantasy series, so I hope you find a lot to enjoy there too. I'm currently reading Sanctum, but I've been having a little trouble with it. I find myself distracted every time I try to read it. I'll wait until I'm in a better mood for it. I hear such great things, so I'm not ready to give up just yet. :)

    Great list!

    1. I started Sanctum yesterday but only got one chapter in and plan to wait a few days so I can read with a friend. I'm excited about that series though! It's my first book by Sarah Fine. The other series you mention - EVERYONE is raving. I can't wait to get started!

  8. It's a great time to read the Mara Dyer books with the release of RETRIBUTION right around the corner. It's been forever since I've read the Wicked Lovely books, but I believe they were good. And WICKED was...odd. I need to read so many of these--Lumatere Chronicles, Something Strange and Deadly, Sweet Evil, Hourglass, and Girl of Fire and Thorns! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. YES about Mara Dyer! I waited on purpose so it is really exciting to FINALLY be able to indulge! I've heard Wicked is a little odd and maybe dark, but I'm so curious and maybe I'll like it??

  9. Oh, how did I forget some of these? I definitely want to read the Mara Dyer books, and the Sweet Trilogy, and the Something Strange and Deadly series! I even have a bunch of the books, ugh! So many great series, so little time. Great list!

  10. You MUST read the Rae Carson series and the Melina Marchetta series! Both are among my favorite fantasy series ever. I need to finish Mara Dyer and the Hourglass series. I read Unspoken but don't plan on finishing that series. Happy reading!

  11. So many great ones on here! Where to start?
Okay, The Lumatere Chronicles - one of two series I give all three books 5 stars (the other is Under the Never Sky :P). So yeah, I LOVE it. Melina Marchetta never does wrong in my eyes.
Fire and Thorns - book one did wow me, but books 2 and 3 are stunning. HECTOR. <3
Mara Dyer - I'm re-reading the first two books right now in preparation for book 3. I'm terrified with how it's all gonna end. D:
I hope to read the Sweet trilogy and Sanctum at some point too!

  12. Something Strange & Deadly series! The Lumatere Chronicles! Fire & Thorns series! These three are series that I've read and loved, and have firmly lodged themselves into my favorites shelf. I really, really, really like them all for different reasons. SSD has great characters, and is full of an interesting conflict about magic. Lumatere is dark, heavy, but also quite moving. Fire and Thorns is just freaking EPIC!

I also want to read The Lynburn Legacy, especially after Hannah gushed about it! It really does sound great, and I'm happy to have all 3 out from the library now :)
